The Healing
Bio
Studied at the School of Printmaking and Design, Cologne, Germany, and at the Dun Laogharie School of Art and Design, (IDAT) Dublin, Ireland. During his artistic career he has lived and worked in various countries in Europe, the Far East, North and South America, Australia and West Africa. Currently lives in The Hague, Netherlands. Since
1981, participation in exhibitions, projects, video/film festivals, including in Europe, the Far East and South Asia, Australia, North and South America and Africa. 2007 First land art and installation objects. 2010-2014 strong focus on photography and experimentation with moving images. In 2014 the first video films and performance
pieces were created. Since 2014, his work and projects have been interdisciplinary, multimedia and intercultural. In 2022 began experimenting with sound art
The work focuses on the individual at a stage of finding a cure or healing process for a disturbed mind caused by psychological disorders, distanced from any community or social environment. The work contains autobiographical elements. For example, the
curtains and windows symbolize my problematic separation from the social environment and the world around me. We may be in a phase where we long for healing. But perhaps we also need to ask ourselves whether the healing process has even begun or whether we subconsciously don't want healing at the end.
