Bio
Suze Adam/fairy bird is a visual artist and writer who works out of her home in the UK. Her practice focuses on the space between interior and exterior landscapes and is underpinned by multi-sensory experience and critical reflection. Work tiptoes between documentation and fiction, the latter often taking prominence.
Physical changes over recent years have necessitated new ways of living and working. What once went unquestioned is now carefully planned, spontaneous reaction now protracted operation. Acceptance hard, fighting still.
In her attempt to adapt to a new reality, Adams has embraced an alter ego: fairy bird, a creature with wand and wings. Work is formed where experience, memory and imagination meet. Using words and images, work presents in fragments that echo the world of fairy bird.
